3D Body Scans

These small sculptures (approx. 30 cm high) are made using a 3D body scanner, the information is then manipulated and the piece is made using computer aided fabrication. The sculptures are constructed from hot ABS plastic which when laid down leaves contours over the form like a map. These pieces are translucent and a multitude of shapes can be seen as the piece is turned.
