Installed in Queens Wood as part of rekindles 2012 exhibiton.

A series of bottles filled with liquids are suspended in the trees.
Surrounding these are notices, taking the form of 'lost signs'
which give information about lost lakes and rivers as well as
the increasing levels of pollution in what remains.

'an-Aesthetic' Hybrid exhibition
May  2008

Picture
Exhibition I curated for Hybrid, an art and science group I started ten years ago. The show was held at tactileBOSCH gallery in Cardiff and Hybrid was funded by the Arts Council of Wales.
Private View performances included a special improvised piece by Simon Thorne with guest musicians and there was also a soothing performance by a harpist from the organization Music in Hospitals.

'Baaaba Babe' and 'Ch22'
Jan- Feb 2000
Picture
'Invisible Body' Exhibition
curated by Heather Barnett.

This piece consisted of a full and manipulated body cast set above Ch22 which was a hand bound
book containing chromosome 22 printed just after it was discovered.
The work was a collaboration between myself and Professor
Alf Linney from the Medical Physics department at UCL. There were 12 artists and 12 scientists. This piece was also developed to applaud the discoveries being made in genetics but also refers to Dolly the sheep and the inherent risks of such cloning.

'Agoraphobia'
Stoke Newington festival

Picture
Agoraphobia is a grassy carbuncle that emerges from the park floor. It carries debris on its surface. The deep blue interior contains cavities in which scenes of flooding and disaster can be seen. Small distant like images that are kept hidden away. The title, despite the seemingly contradictory form of the piece connects with fear associated with looking outward.

Picture
'Home and Away' was a collaborative work with Kristina Kotov a colleague from Lithuania. We created the work during the summer of 2004 while Kristina was in Lithuania. The piece was made for the exhibition Co-Habitation at tactle BOSCH in Cardiff. The work consists of photos taken at prescribed times in each of our locations during a single day and subsequently projected in time sequence onto a framed cast of our faces. This links our experiences and frames them in time, the work alludes to the myriad of simultaneous experiences occurring at any one moment.
