Pods
The pods are narrative work looking at environmental and political issues.
They connect with story telling but in terms of current affairs and the value of history told by the people.

Pods

Picture
The Pods are internally lit, giving out low level light and illuminating the internal scenes. These scenes are generally viewed through glass lenses which magnify or reduce the size of what is seen. The scenes consist of small figures and buildings; ice skaters, houses, horse races, landscapes etc. The scenes are mixed media with miniature figures.  The structure is made from high fired stoneware clay and so these pieces are extremely durable.

'Sometimes i use fables that I reframe within a contemporary arena, or I look at our media
and review what becomes accepted but needs to be reclassified as myth.'   Gage 2013
